After becoming one of the first 20 physicians in the United States to perform this technique, Dr. Ronald Vittone has performed over 40,000 cataract operations, making him one of the most experienced ophthalmologists in the United States.

Dr. Michael Vittone joined the practice in July 2006, after completing an ophthalmology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Eye and Ear Institute. Prior to that, he was an Internal Medicine specialist in the area. He has special interests in cataract surgery and retinal disease including diabetes and age related macular degeneration. He has performed several thousand cataract surgeries, laser procedures and intravitreal injections for these problems.
